Located within the Health & Leisure Club at Waterfront Hotel on Brighton’s lively seafront, Health & Leisure Club at Waterfront Hotel combines a smart indoor pool with a gym to provide a one-stop fitness centre. The club is open until at least 8pm each day, so there is plenty of time for your workout or swim.

Perfectly placed between the Brighton Centre and the pier, this small but great value gym is ideal for both locals and visitors. The modern equipment features the state of the art Adaptive Motion trainers supplied by Precor. These fully adjustable machines provide a low-impact cardio workout for the whole body and are very popular with users. The gym also has free weights and resistance machines.

The pool is a good size for a hotel facility. It is separated from the gym by a glass wall which gives the space a light and airy feel. There is also a sauna and steam room, plus facilities for massage and beauty treatments. (Some extra charges may apply, please contact the club for details)

Customers of this gym especially like the clean and modern facilities, and say that the pool is usually quiet. The hotel has an excellent reputation and is noted for its friendly and helpful staff. So whether you are a local or a visitor, a visit to Otium Health and Leisure is highly recommended.

How to find us:
The centre is located in the Waterfront Hotel on the seafront, between East Street and Black Lion Street. The nearest station is Brighton (National Rail) which is about 20 minutes walk from the club. Bus 7 (Portslade – Brighton Marina) to North Street Stop C is the nearest regular service. Many buses serve the Old Steine or Churchill Square which are only five minutes walk away. Brighton Council’s Lanes car park is beneath the hotel. Parking charges start at £5 for two hours.

Gym itself is small and the changing rooms are busy. But, it is well maintained - has most of the things one needs for a quick workout and the staff are friendly and accommodating.

compact but cosy gym, good powerful showers, ideal place to grab a workout sauna and shower when visiting Brighton

my third visit to the waterfront, each time I have enjoyed myself here, compact facilities, but to a high standard, spotlessly clean, friendly helpful staff, superbly located, just walk out of the door and you can see Brighton pier, with the sealfe center just around the corner, would go again.

Great gym with swimming pool, steam room and sauna. I went on a Sunday morning and had the gym to myself. The swimming pool and spa facilities felt like a reward afterwards. Friendly staff and a pleasure to use. Located in the Thistle Hotel near to Brighton Pier, so a great location too!

The pool was beautiful, everything was very clean and well maintained.
The gym was quiet and the music was upbeat and not too loud.
There was a good selection of free-weights but not many machines to use.

The changing rooms are a bit small and there are only two showers - so - if it's busy - you might have to endure a bit of a wait. However, all in all, an excellent little gym in a convenient location.

Nice gym in a great location if you want to go for a run or walk along the seafront before you gym/ swim. Friendly staff but could be cleaner.

The gym was small and a bit cramped in. It was quiet when I went, but I guess it depends on the hotel visitors.
