728-730 Eastern Avenue, Newbury Park, Essex, IG2 6PE

Apples Health Club is located in the heart of Newbury Park, a short stroll from the tube station and convenient for a large number of homes and businesses. Long-established under various names, the centre has been fully refurbished in the last few years. It now offers a wide range of workout equipment, all in clean and fresh surroundings.

This friendly and well-equipped venue is one of the cheapest gyms in Ilford. The gym features the latest Life Fitness equipment, with a wide selection of cardiovascular machines such as treadmills and rowers. For your resistance work, big racks of free weights and all the benches and bars you need will keep even the toughest happy for hours. A separate boxing ring area with punch bags provides yet more exercise opportunities, running the ‘Crossfit’ exercise programme. Although the gym is relatively small, it packs a lot in with a total of 66 separate exercise stations.

Changing rooms and showers have also been refurbished, and there is a sauna available for that post workout wind-down. Customers at this gym especially like the friendly staff and the high standards of cleanliness and equipment.

The gym is open until 10pm during the week and until 6pm at the weekends. Group exercise classes run in the evenings, and there are personal trainers available. (Extra charges apply for these facilities).

How to find us:

Generally a good gym, I went during the afternoon and found a lot of the kit was being used and had to wait to use machines and weights (probably post early shift finish time) but for the price in and around London its difficult to match.
Changing facilities and showers were good.

Reasonable amount of kit but was quiet busy when visiting, no on site parking but enough at a local store, not sure I would us it again
