If you are looking to workout in a friendly environment surrounded by motivated like-minded people then Miguel’s Boxing Gym could be perfect for you. Here they welcome all types of people regardless of gender, background or fitness level. The gym was established in the late 90’s to cater for the local community and give everyone the opportunity to workout, meet new friends and gain confidence. All members of staff have had previous experience in the boxing ring so they are highly qualified to offer help and instruction. You can take advantage of the facilities to train in the no frills gym with a range of weight machines available for strength training as well as punch bags, tyres and battle ropes. If you need extra motivation or are looking for support and guidance to get fit personal training sessions are available throughout the week from £30 per session. Speak with a member of staff for more details. Miguel’s Boxing Gym has a wide range of classes throughout the week. Boxing classes for children, women and over 60’s are available as well white collar boxing which is perfect for beginners who want to train as a fighter or want to learn the technical side of boxing. The club is affiliated with the Amateur Boxing Association and has helped to produce ABA and national champions. There are excellent transport links with Loughborough Junction Station (Thameslink and Southeastern) just a couple of minutes away and Brixton Station (Victoria line and Southeastern rail) within 10 minutes. Bus route P4(Brixton – Lewisham) stops outside the club on Herne Hill Road with the 35(Shoreditch – Clapham Junction Station) and 45 (King’s Cross Station – Atkins Road) stopping on Coldharbour Lane.
