I visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was quieter than usual. The place is undergoing a lot of refurbishment at present and the gym was closed and temporarily relocated. Some parts of the building need updating and hopefully that will happen as part of the refurbishment.

Very quiet, don't know whether this is a pre-Christmas thing or people voting with their feet given price rise in advance of refurbishment. Still no staff present on gym floor.

It was ok for me

The issues with old equipment still continue and let's hope that the refurbishment of the gym is as good as the changing rooms. In terms of "friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff" who would know as there are never any staff in the gym first thing. First staff member arrives at around 07:30.

Had a 20 minute work out using the Battle Ropes which I hadn't used before, my arms were knackered, but loved it and will be incorporating into my work outs from now on.

This gym is friendly and inspiring, I always leave having picked up a few new exercise inspirations or tips. Had a blissful swim too!

Despite being in the midst of a refurbishment the club remains fully open. The facilities are really good and the planned upgrades should only enhance the visitor experience.

Definitely now in need of refurbishment which is underway, so let's hope it's worth it. No evidence of any staff on the gym floor which is disappointing. Expensive at £9 per session.
