Food to blast belly fat and give you a six pack

Obviously it takes a lot of effort to get a really defined six-pack, but there are a few foods that might just help you get there a little faster:

1. Greek yogurt

Being rich in calcium and probiotics, Greek yogurt can help reveal your defined abs.

The probiotic elements are though to help you lose abdominal fat, found between your muscles and organs.

2. Whey protein powder

This can help you to improve muscle damage and increase recovery. This is due to the branched-chain amino acids found in whey protein powder.

3. Whole grains

Whole grains are known as complex carbohydrates, which are crucial to powering your workout. The fibre from these little grains reduces stomach fat and increases your feelings of fullness.

4. Asparagus

The stalks of asparagus are rich in prebiotic fibre, which fuels the good bacteria in the digestive tract. As it also acts as a diuretic, this means you have less excess fluid in your body, which makes your muscles look more defined.

5. Almonds

These nuts seem to be pretty effective at shifting abdominal fat.

Perhaps it’s because they contain more fibre than most other nuts. They stabilize blood sugar levels and keep you reaching for the snack drawer.

6. Green Tea

Packed with catechins, green tea increases metabolism and the release of fat from fat cells - particularly those belly fat cells.

as the article says, food that fills you up means you eat less overall, and that's what will shift the fat. I fear that any metabolism increases are so small as to be cancelled out by the calories in the foods!

matcha tea is good too I hear. Would be interested to know if anyone has tried a diet consisting of these foods and how they found it?
