CAN EXERCISE HELP YOU TO SUCCEED IN LIFE?

CAN EXERCISE HELP YOU TO SUCCEED IN LIFE?

What defines success? There is no formula that fits everyone, but for most of us success is a combination of opportunity (right place at the right time) and the ability to take that opportunity.

Opportunity can be a matter of luck – but being prepared to grab it is within our control.

Here are 4 ways that exercise can get you prepared to succeed:

1.SUCCESS NEEDS STAMINA

The culture of ‘presenteeism’ isn’t necessarily the way to promotion, but even the proverbial 9-5 takes a big chunk out of your waking hours. We all have other things to do when we leave the office, so we need the energy to get on with life.

If one of those ‘things to do’ is some stamina building exercise, that is a great way to look after your health and gain energy at the same time.

2.SUCCESS NEEDS HEALTH

Even a bad cold can really wreck plans and schedules, and that can mean missing opportunities. Taking time to exercise helps your immune system be the best it can be, and gives your body the strength to fight off infections. Muscle fitness also gives you the strength to keep on the go and on your feet through a busy day.

3.SUCCESS NEEDS BRAINPOWER

Successful people need to be able to think clearly, be creative, remember well and plan logically. That means making the most of brain power, and exercise has been proven to do just that.

4.SUCCESS NEEDS STRESS-BUSTING

Getting on in life means the ability to deal with stress. Annoying bosses, irritating paperwork or incompetent colleagues are just how it is. Rise above it all (and reduce the odds of being one of the irritants!) by taking some exercise.

Doing well in life needs stamina, brains, organisation and good health. Exercising is a great way to increase your stock of all those essentials. Practice organisation by scheduling in some exercise – make it a priority on your road to success.

Success definitely needs brainpower, and mental determination, which equates to good mental health. That for me is a fundamental basic

Since I started working out and properly looking after myself I have been much more successful in work, and I put this down to a greater confidence in myself and how I project myself.

I agree with all the above, and would summarise it by saying that success requires you to be healthy in mind and body. get that sorted and you have the greatest chance of success.
