How to firm up a saggy tummy

How to firm up a saggy tummy

There are many reasons why people get a saggy tummy – childbirth, losing weight quickly or just an unhealthy lifestyle.

The saggy skin doesn’t necessarily mean that you have extra weight to lose, but toning up your tummy muscles can help to get the skin to bounce back.

Abdominal exercises are crucial to firming up this area:

Try straight arm crunches, Russian twists, reverse crunches, and side planks to really give some strength to your core.

Don’t forget your yoga and Pilates to help tackle that tummy:

Try the plank pose, where you start on your elbows and knees and then push your feet back behind you and lift your knees so your legs are parallel to the floor. Hold this position and see how long before you start to shake from tensing for so long!

Knowing what to eat is key to reducing the sag:

monounsaturated fats found in nuts, olive oil and seeds are all shown to burn the fat around your belly – but don’t forget to leave out the bad fats found in processed foods, margarine, and even pasta.

Moving around regularly is key to keeping up a healthy lifestyle. Walk around more, try gently jogging – maybe in your lunchbreak.

Cycling and cardio machines at the gym can all help you to burn more calories, which is one of the best ways to fight tummy sag.

Try to do exercise for at least 30 minutes each day and you should start to see that sag disappearing.

I would say the plank is all you need to do. Oh yes, and eating right, but the plank for 2 minutes every day has made a big difference to me.

the article diplomatically avoids mentioning the other reason - getting older and eating too much! Can't do much about the first, but the right food in the right quantities is a major part of the battle.
