Outdoor and indoor provision at Bacon's College Sports Centre allows for a range of sports including tennis, football, basketball and badminton, as well as fitness equipment.

Provided by Bacon’s College Community Services, the sports centre was opened with the community in mind and it caters for all ages and abilities and provides a low cost gym in Rotherhithe with all the best facilities.

With weight training and cardiovascular equipment, a dance studio and Astroturf football pitch, the centre is guaranteed to help you to keep fit, whatever your sporting preferences.

As specialists in team sports, the football pitch plays host to a football academy and is used regularly by corporate teams for fixtures. Other sports include netball and volleyball.

Athletics is a key focus at Bacon’s College Sports Centre with facilities to improve your long jump, high jump, discus and shot put skills, which could see you heading towards Olympic standards.

The independent gym boasts a team of highly qualified and friendly staff who can guide you in your health goals and help you to reach targets with support and motivational advice.

The centre gives the option of cheap gym membership, offering a range of passes and no contract gym memberships.

Situated on Timber Pond Road, it’s easily accessible by road, rail, and river. The nearest bus station is Canada Water, buses 1,47, 188, 199, 225, 381, C10 and P12. The nearest tube station is Canada Water and Rotherhithe is easily accessed from south via the A2, the north via the A13 and the west via the A200. You can also access the centre via the Thames Clipper and Hilton Ferry Service to the Hilton Docklands Pier.

The gym in Bacon's college is quite small. The cardio equipment is upstairs and the ground floor has all the basic facilities for strength training. It was a 5 minute's walk from my flat. However, I am a cardio person and I don't find the cardio equipment that up-to-date. It was ok experience.

The equipment was old and some were broken. The free weights were limited and the room was very tight. It was just tough to get my workout done.

Sometimes the checkin desk is left unattended. you cannot check in today i waited 15 min and i left, all my training plans cancelled.Not good

Pay as you gym was very easy and convenient. Beacons college is nice and quite but some of the equipment needs repairing.

A small gym with decent amount of equipment. Consists of two floors - weight room at the bottom and cardio (treadmills and others) on the top. Usually very quiet. Could use equipment upgrade.
