State of Mind Fitness is a West London boxing gym with a family-feel and group training mentality like no other. Operated by former Royal Marine PTI and professional boxing coach Barry O’Connell, our training is second to none. Our classes are intense and unique, using military fitness techniques like no other. Prepare to sweat.

We welcome all fitness and thrive on diversity. If you’re willing to work, we’ll get you results. We train together and strive towards the same goal – to be fit, string & resilient. Whether your goal is to learn how to box, lose weight, increase your fitness or work on your strength – we’ll make sure you get there.

The Commando Bootcamp is our signature class, renowned for its military style drills and unusual training techniques. On top of numerous press-ups, burpees and block runs, you will find yourself being piggy-backed up and down the street, pushing the landrover or racing on our ski-erg. There isn’t a muscle in your body that won’t feel the burn and you’ll see results quicker than ever before.

If you’re interested in learning how to box then this is the gym for you – we coach everyone from complete beginners to professional boxers. We’ll teach you the basics, take you on the pads and when you’re ready get you sparring and in the ring.

A wide range of classes are available, check with staff for more information and additional charges.

We run short and sharp circuit style classes every morning and throughout the week.

How to find us:
State of Mind Fitness is situated on Galena Road in the heart of Hammersmith. Ravenscourt Park (District line) tube station is just a 3 minute walk and Hammersmith (District, Picadilly, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines) is less than 10 minutes walk. If you are travelling by bus then there are plenty of bus routes that stop on King Street. Bus routes include 27 (Chalk Farm – Chiswick Business Park), 190 (Richmond Bus Station – West Brompton Station), 267 (Fulwell Station – Twickenham) and 391 (Richmond Bus Station – Sand’s End). Free parking is available outside the gym after 6.30pm

It is not clear on website that this is a boot camp, circuit training type facility. If that is what you're after, this is small, personable and friendly though don't think of showering here afterward (one unisex loo that doubles as a wet room). Barry is great.

Great little gym. They are expanding at present. Call ahead to check if they are in as due to the expansion the desk may at times not be manned.
