London Muay Thai Academy has it's roots in and around Greater London and was founded by Kru Yai Gary Wright.
At the head of our club now is Steven Veira, who with over 20 years of martial arts experience has coached and trained with elite fighters.
The club is dedicated to keeping Thai martial arts alive. Proper technique is taught at all levels, building strength, speed, agility, co-cordination, confidence, and respect.
The club also proudly coaches the University of Westminster Dragons Muay Thai team.
Classes are not broken up by ability levels as we believe that we can all learn from each other. Because of our emphasis on respect, beginners are treated appropriately to their skill level and abilities, and are supported by more experienced students. Experienced students are coached accordingly, and encouraged to take part in all levels of competition.
Classes consist of a traditional stretch (joint lubrication), a warm-up, technique building drills, combinations, pad-work, conditioning, and sparring. The studio is equipped with a fully matted training area, two heavy bags, two suspension trainers, a variety of kettle bells, chin-up station, and other martial-art specific pads/equipment.
We have one cloakroom, fridge, and shoe/gym-bag cubbies.
